Idea Court: put your idea on trial in front of 12 Claude jurors

Ask Claude if your idea is good and it tends to say yes. This free skill makes it argue with itself instead: a prosecutor, a defender, 12 jurors who vote blind, each judging as someone different, and a judge who hands down the verdict and the one change that would flip it.

All 2, step by step

How the trial works

The Prosecutor writes the 3 strongest, idea-specific reasons it fails. The Defender answers each one and adds the 2 best reasons it works. Then 12 jurors read both sides and vote GUILTY or NOT GUILTY without seeing each other's votes, so they can't just pile on. Each juror is a different person with skin in the game: the customer, the accountant, the competitor, the investor, the person who has to build it, your own future self and more. Finally the Judge counts the votes and gives a verdict.

  1. Prosecution: 3 reasons it fails, each specific (a number, a competitor, a cost).
  2. Defense: point-by-point answers plus 2 reasons it works.
  3. Jury: 12 blind votes, one line each, in that person's voice.
  4. Verdict: the tally, the charge that stuck, the one change that flips the most votes, and a cheap test under a week.

Tip: There's no flattery anywhere in the skill on purpose. If you want encouragement, ask a friend. If you want the truth, ask the court.

The prompt

Give it the idea in a sentence or two, who it's for, what they pay, and what success means to you in 6 months. If you leave something out, it asks once and then starts the trial.

You need
  • The idea
  • Who it's for and what they pay
  • What success looks like in 6 months
  1. Paste the prompt below with your details.
  2. Read the tally first, then the charge that stuck.
  3. Fix that one thing and type retrial.
Prompt

Use idea-court. My idea: [idea]. It's for [who] and costs them [price]. Success in 6 months means [goal]. Run the full trial.

Tip: Works on more than startups: a career move, a video idea, a price change, a product name.

Tip: Change one thing the judge pointed at, then type "retrial". The skill runs the whole case again and shows both vote tallies side by side.
