Prompt
Digital oil painting with a semi-realistic portrait approach, painterly brushwork with visible, loose strokes and textured edges. Soft blending on facial features combined with expressive, rough brush strokes around the hair and clothing. Use a warm, natural skin tone palette with subtle color variation (peach, beige, soft pink highlights) and gentle light diffusion.
Lighting is soft and directional, slightly from the front/side, creating smooth shadows without harsh contrast. Emphasize natural highlights on the nose, cheeks, and forehead with a slightly glossy, painterly finish.
Background is abstract and minimal, composed of broad, dry-brush strokes with muted colors (desaturated teal, gray, olive, and beige), creating a soft halo effect around the subject. Edges of the subject fade organically into the background using broken brush strokes.
Color treatment is vibrant but controlled, with warm tones (orange, red) contrasted against cool, muted background hues. Brush strokes should feel spontaneous and layered, with visible paint texture, as if done on canvas.
Overall finish should resemble a modern atelier-style portrait painting, slightly stylized but still grounded in realism, with an artistic, handcrafted feel rather than hyper-detailed realism. No sharp outlines—forms are defined by color and light transitions.
The output stays consistent because the prompt nails down a defined colour grade and a material / texture call, so re-running it — or handing it to a teammate — lands in the same place instead of drifting. Keep those clauses and rewrite the subject to make it your own.
